2025 edition:

2024 edition:

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, NIHR, Blackpool Council, Lancaster University, and NHS R&D North West had been collaborating on a programme of work to improve local research skills in the VCFSE (Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise) sector in Blackpool.

The programme had completed and they wanted to gather the stories and positive impacts that the programme had on participants. They had a short turnaround time from reaching out to Hearne Creative before the work needed to be finalised so we worked quickly to bring the idea to life.

Hearne Creative attended their training location in Blackpool to speak with participants, film their stories, and create a celebration film to be screened at a closing event for the programme shortly after. The footage will also be used to market future iterations of the training programme.

The client and participants were so pleased with the film that they requested another for their 2025 edition, this time also planning a workshop to take place which could be filmed and added to the video.

Participants commented on Jess’ ability to put them at ease during filming and the programme organisers sent some wonderfully positive feedback which can be read below.

Clint feedback:

“Many thanks for putting it together so quickly and doing such a good job! It’s a testament to your skill and professionalism that you can do something so well and so quickly.  Thanks again and it was great to work with you.”

– Gillian Southgate, NHS R&D North West

“Thank you so much Jess, the end result is brilliant and it went down really well at the event.  We’ll certainly be in touch for anything in the future.

We think it is great, thank you for putting that together so quickly.”

– Heather Catt, Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
